Tags

Farmfoody.org has an element of an internet dating service. Only instead of matching based on sex, age, or appearance, we connect farm and foody based on products and farm activities. Tags are key words used to match farms to foodys.

Separate tags by spaces. Do not use commas.

Farms, tag what you have. Foodies, tag what you want. You can add and edit at any time from your account.

Farms should use certain standardized tags for best results:

Standard Tags
Term Tag
Pick your own pyo
Community Supported Agriculture csa
Free range freerange
Grass fed grassfed

Most phrases will take care of themselves we entered as tags, such as "corn maze" will always come up if both "corn" and "maze" are among your tags. But for standard terms like "pick your own" we prefer you use a single tag like "pyo" so that if everyone uses the same tag, they will be certain to find you. You may also enter both "grassfed" and "grass fed" to cover all possibilities. Enter "hay rides" or "farmers market" (please leave apostrophe out and use lowercase letters in tags.). If you sell seasonal items, include the holiday as in "christmas trees" or "christmas wreaths" For now, enter qualified products as independent tags: brussels sprouts, chinese greens, green beans, green onions, mustard greens. Do not run them together.

Suggested Tags

You may be general with a tag like "meat" but also add specific meats like "beef" or "chicken". The same is true for "fruit" where you may decide to add "cherries" or "apples." If you really are selling or looking for "pears" you should be specific. If you sell maple syrup, just enter both as tags.

Tagging is very free form. But here are suggestions....
