Foodie - You love to shop at farm stands or farmer's markets, visit vineyards or farms for Pick-Your-Own, or want to join a CSA. A foodie account is for everyone.

Farmer - You operate a small, independent farm, grow and sell produce through a farm stand, farmer's markets or mail order direct to the customer, or are a farmer's market or a CSA. (Please sign up one principal user to represent your farm, etc., other family members please sign up as foodies.)

Vineyard - You raise grapes or fruit for wine, make wine or operate a tasting room. (Please sign up one principal user to represent your vineyard, etc., other family members please sign up as foodies.)

Chef - You are a chef who patronizes local farms and farm markets.

Gardener - You love to grow veggies in your backyard garden, share and trade them or exchange seeds.

Are you a farmer? Please take a moment to consider the choice of user name carefully. In a social network, your user identity represents your farm. Your user name cannot contain any spaces or punctuation and should be reasonably brief. You user name is difficult to change once your account becomes active, so please consider it carefully. For example, Bob's Angus Beef might become bobsangusbeef or bobs_angus_beef.

Farmer's Markets and CSA's. We welcome farmer's markets and CSA's as users. If you are signing up as a farmer's market, please choose 'farmer' account type and then add 'fm' to the end of your user name. If you are signing up as a CSA, please choose 'farmer' account type and then add 'csa' to the end of your user name. We are working on how to integrate farmer's markets and CSA's into the system and your feedback is welcome.
